Hello!! It’s Hugh Yamada!!!!
Today we started riding our bicycles right after the rain stopped and sunset started.
Probably because of the after rain effects, the sky, clouds and sunset were really beautiful!
Today we stopped right before going out of the Adirondack Park.
We went to a house right next to the road and asked them if they knew anywhere we could camp around there. They weren’t sure about campsites, however they suggested we camp on their property.
We asked them if they see bears around here. Their answer was they haven’t seen them for a while but bears do come here sometimes.
So they also suggested we use their garage to keep all the food we have (including trash).
Thank you so much!!!
Jay
While we had dinner at our campsite, we discussed one of the serious issues that we have, about our “meal.”
What we’ve been eating are Rice Roni, cooking with the soup from a can of diced tomatoes and a can of green beans. It’s pretty simple but tastes good!
Jay: I’m not trying to bring up any trouble here, but don’t you think our meal is not enough? We are biking now and yet we are not even having as many calories as we should eat in our normal life. We probably will get sick if we keep on the way it is now.
A while I go I asked some people, “Why are my muscles are not growing even though I’m exercising? Instead somehow my muscles are getting more tense than before.” The answer for that was, “Eat a lot more. You need to eat a lot in order to build your muscles. You need to eat a lot just to heal your muscles too!”
So we should seriously think about how we can cook a bigger meal when we are camping out!
... I see.
That makes sense. We do need to eat a lot more than what we are eating now.
Although, when I was working in New York, I was fine with not having lunch and that kind of thing, and I know that’s not a good thing for your health.
Plus, I’m on the bicycle now and using lot more energy for my body too.
I’m ok now, don’t mean I’m ok forever.
AND!!! I DO WANT to build my muscles for bicycling!!! I do!!
And so we need to research and learn these 4 things.
- something that has a lot more calories!
- something that’s good for your muscles!
- something that can give us minimum and good nutrition that we need.
- something very light and easy to carry with us and good for camping.
And we’ll just have to try and test them out!!
For our bodily and mental health!!
