ついに始まりました！アメリカS断！Going S！
Finally the adventure has just started!!! We are Going S!!!!
今日は朝曇り気味で、Jayがちょっと心配していたのですが、「大丈夫！俺晴れ男だから！」と言うと本当に晴れたという、しかもここ数日ぶりのめっちゃ暑い、全く雨の降らない1日となりました！
This morning, when we looked at the sky, there were some dark clouds and so we were worried a little bit. However, I told Jay “I’m spouse to be a “Sunny Guy” so today will be sunny once I get out outside!” And it really became a really hot day with no rain at all for all day :)
自転車の荷物積み込みに少し時間がかかりましたが、なんとか無事準備完了。
日本縦断時と積み方はほぼほぼ一緒。
ただサイドバッグが前のよりもかなり大きくなりました。(日本縦断時は犬の背中に乗せるカバンをサイドバッグにしてましたw)
It took time more than we expected to pack everything on our bike, however we sure did pack successfully!
On my bike, I packed it as how I did it back in Japan except the side bags are a lot bigger this time. (Last time when I did cross country in Japan I was actually using a side bags not for a bicycle but for a dog’s back.)
一方、Jayの自転車のパッキング方法は僕のとは全く違います。
まず前にカゴが付いてないので殆どの荷物が後ろに行くのと、寝袋やテントと言った荷物が裸のまま積まれています。(僕のは前の緑の鞄の中に寝袋、エアーマット、後ろの白い鞄の中にテントが入っています)
そしてやはり大きな違いはギターが背中ではなく、後ろに積まれています。良い感じですよね。
On other hand, Jay’s way of packing is totally different from my way of packing.
Firstable, Jay doesn’t have a basket at front so most of his stuff are goes on back side.
Also Jay’s sleeping bags, tents etc are not in a bag but directly on his bike. (Mines are inside of the green bag at front and back in the white bag.)
The biggest difference between us would be how we take our guitar I would say.
I’m carrying my guitar on my back and will put it on the white bag. Instead, Jay has that cool rack that his dad made it for him! It’s sick!
そしていよいよ出発！
予定時間(11時出発)が14:30出発になってしまいましたが、初日は20mile先にあるLawrenceという街のちょこっと外れ、キャンプ場を目指すことにしました！
AND, finally we just started Going S!!
It turned out to be 3 hours late to start but whatever, we are doing this!!
First day, we moved towards to Lawrence, MA.
There is a camping site so we decided to stay there for a night which is about 20miles away from staring point.
ところが初日から早速パンク(><)
However I got flat from the day1 :(((((
嘘でしょー 日本縦断中1回しかパンクしてないし、頑丈だ！ってことでわざわざ日本から持ってきたタイヤなのにwww
どうやら日本でパンクしなかったのは道が本当に相当綺麗だからなのだろう。
なんて言っててもしょうがないので早速修理。
明日はパンクをしないように気をつけたいと思います！
Can’t believe it’s happening already lol
When I did cross country in Japan, I had only 1 flat for the entire trip!! And that was my main reason why I brought my wheel and tire from Japan:(
However, it seems like the streets in Japan were ridiculously clean I guess.
Anyway, so we fixed the problem. I’ll watch out for streets a lot more than today from tomorrow.
So tomorrow, I hope it won’t get flat.
そしてキャンプ場へ到着。
今日はここで宿泊です。
And we arrived to the camp site.
We are staying at here for a night.
Tomorrow is another day
